I hope that you are all enjoying some sun and relaxation. The weather hasn't been the hot dry summer that they promised us months ago, but I am still taking advantage of the fine weather when it's here. Now that my 7 month old son - Little L - is a bit more mobile, we like to head to a beach to do some serious relaxing while he plays in the shade or has a nap in his pram under a tree.
There's always a wave of nice treats released for summer and here's a few good ones that I've come across over the past few months.
- Kohu Road always make a d'lish ice cream and their salted caramel flavour is a solid addition to their range of all-natural, real ingredients ice cream.
- OOB's organic sorbet ice blocks are gluten, egg and dairy free. Available in lemonade, mixed berry or mango passion.
- The Wasara range of beautiful, single use tableware is made from 100% renewable, tree-free materials, specifically, bamboo, reed pulp, and bagasse (a by-product of the sugar refining process), perfect for that special dinner or event. [shameless self-promotion :) ]
- Dolce Gusto is the latest in capsule-style home coffee machines. You don't need to fiddle with making frothy milk with this system, just pop in the capsule of the drink that you want, adjust the water level and go.
- Orchard Thieves cider this the latest from the makers of Monteith's. Made from freshly crushed New Zealand apple cider, it comes in two distinct flavours: Mandarin and lime; Raspberry and vanilla.
