Tea Parties at Alberton :: So D'lish. New Zealand's food blog website

A couple of months ago, I wrote an article about where to go to have High Tea in Auckland. This seemed to have struck a chord with many of you and I'm delighted to hear that some of you have had a High Tea - they are fun, aren't they?

I've been waiting for Feburary to roll around because it means that it's the start of the Alberton series of Tea Party events. For $20 for morning or afternoon tea or $30 for lunch, you can enjoy your tea party at the historic Alberton House in Mt Albert, Auckland. Sip on a cup of tea from a vintage tea set, nibble on dainty cakes and savouries, and wander around the historic house before or after your sitting - quite the colonial experience.

Alberton Tea Parties are on for a limited season only - Thursday 25 February, Sunday 28 February, Wednesday 3 March and Sunday 7 March 2010 - so be sure to book your table now!

Download the Alberton Tea Party series flyer or contact Alberton to make a booking:

@Lisa - I'm so glad that you enjoyed your afternoon tea! I went with my Mum that morning and have I put up the review. I loved the scones, they were so nice and light - with heaps of jam and cream it was perfect!

I went to the tea party unsure about what to expect but it was very fun.

I brought my mother, twin sister and good friend and we enjoyed the little scones, sandwiches and tea very much and made sure to take photos.

The walk around the old house was pretty awesome like stepping back in time.

Thanks for the awesome prize it made my day :)

Alberton is a wonderful historical place. I've yet to have the pleasure of eating there.
